AMD K8 processors might support DDR500

According to a certain major memory manufacturer, AMD is considering upgrading their on-die memory manufacturer for DDR500 support. With that, they are seeking support from the many memory manufacturers. if everything goes well, Venice will be the first K8 processor to officially support DDR 500.

AMD’s main motive: to skip DDR-II and transit direct to DDR-3, thus they have to prolong the life-span of DDR memory.
