Amazon launches PlayStation Network storefront for downloading digital content

Amazon’s new PlayStation Network storefront allows users to buy digital content for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Vita.

The PlayStation Network Store on Amazon allows users to download game codes and other digital content that is available on the PlayStation network directly from Amazon. The online retailer has been offering digital game license codes for Windows and Mac platforms, but this is the first time such a service is offered for a console platform.

Amazon has mentioned that the PlayStation Networks storefront features over 100 downloadable items for the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 3. PlayStation Vita titles will be available in the coming weeks. Amazon is also offering $5 PSN store credit that users can redeem on any content they buy through Amazon. The $5 store credit deal is valid for any PS4 game that is bought between now and November 13 (9AM PT).

Another deal that will is live today is the Buy 2 Get 1 Free offer, which lets users grab a free PS4 launch title on purchase of two qualifying games. The deal can be activated by using the GR8TNESS code at checkout.

  • Call of Duty: Ghosts
  • FIFA 14
  • Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition

  • Need for Speed Rivals
  • NBA 2K14
  • Skylanders Swap Force

The PlayStation Network Store is available only on the U.S. Amazon for now.
