Albatron GeForce 6600GT PCIe Review

Today we have a review of Albatron’s GeForce 6600GT PCIe graphics card. We’ll be comparing Albatron’s latest mid-ranged offering to that of XFX’s GeForce 6600GT as well as ATI’s Radeon X700 Pro. So how does the card do? Come and take a look.

In the short three years that Albatron has been a player in the motherboard and graphics card industries, the company has made a name for itself through innovation and unique products. Albatron’s first big market success, the GeForce 4 Ti 4200P Medusa, used a GeForce 4 Ti 4200 GPU built on a GeForce 4 Ti 4600 PCB and featured the more expensive memory used on the Ti 4400. Combined with copper ramsinks and an effective heatsink fan, the Ti 4200P Medusa became an overclocker’s dream and propelled Albatron to the forefront of NVIDIA’s top graphics card manufacturers.

Through 2003 and into 2004, Albatron saw more success with their mid-ranged graphics card line up, releasing two noteworthy cards using the 5600 and 5700 Ultra cores. And now as we move into 2005, Albatron has already started mass-shipping their latest mid-ranged graphics card product, the Albatron GeForce 6600GT. Albatron GeForce 6600GT comes in two flavors, the PC6600GT and the PC6600GTV, the only difference between the two being the PC6600GTV’s VIVO capability. We’ll be reviewing the PC6600GT and comparing it to the XFX GeForce 6600GT, as well as ATI’s mid-ranged Radeon X700 Pro graphics card.

So how does Albatron’s latest mid-ranged offering stack up? Come and take a closer look…

In order for Albatron to be a successful player in the American market, the company will have to improve it’s bundle in order to stay competitive with the other NVIDIA based graphics card manufacturers.
