A.C. Ryan PlayOn!HD2 review: it’s all about HD content

Another day, another media player shows up in VR-Zone's office, where it sits on my desk awaiting its judgement in the form of a review. And this time, it is A.C. Ryan's Playon!HD2 which will be in the hot seat. How well will it fare when put to the test? We shall see.

Most people enjoy watching movies, but not everybody is willing to spend good money on a movie ticket that is only good for one screening of a certain show. After all, common logic dictates that it is more practical to go for the cheaper digital purchase of the film in question which allows for unlimited playbacks, as opposed to blowing it all on a single-trip ticket to the movie theatre, even if the theatre offers a superior audio and visual experience.

Of course, users who opt to go for digital downloads will still want to be able to enjoy their downloaded movies on their television sets, and that is where devices such as A.C. Ryan's Playon!HD2 comes in to fill that need. In this review, we will take a look at the aforementioned media player to see whether it will fit the bill as a suitable device for the home theatre enthusiast.
