2K resolution not enough? Vivo Xplay 3S to also pack S800 CPU and 3 GB RAM

As if the already confirmed 2K display resolution of the upcoming Vivo Xplay 3S super-phone wasn’t enough to make the bad boy the number one underdog to watch for in 2014, some other purported specs have surfaced earlier today.

And boy, are they insane. So insane that they could very well make the Xplay 3S the most technically gifted handheld in the world. By a mile.

Before getting down to business, do you mind doing me a quick favor? Make sure you’re seated, get your heart medication close by and prepare to have your socks knocked off.

Alright, since you’ve been warned, let’s begin by stating the obvious. The 3S will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU. Big deal, S800 is the norm nowadays for high-enders, some may say.

True that, only Vivo’s beast, unlike, say, the Galaxy Note 3, will be coming with an MSM8974AB S800 model, not a basic MSM8974. The difference is subtle, but it’s there and should be noticeable, especially as the GPU is clocked at 550 MHz instead of 450.

Then you have 3 gigs of RAM, the same amount of memory found inside the Note 3… and only the Note 3, fingerprint recognition technology, 4G LTE speeds and USB 3.0 connectivity. That last feature is again exclusive to the third-gen GNote in the mobile phone landscape, whereas LTE is far from everyday found on China-made gizmos.

What else? Oh, yeah, the rear-facing camera will rock f/1.8 aperture and there’ll be a built-in Hi-Fi audio chip for unrivaled sound quality. If that’s not spec-busting material to go down in the history books, I don’t know what is.

And remember, the true pièce de résistance is still set to be the unique screen resolution (for something so small), resulting in 534 ppi pixel density provided the diagonal measures 5.7 inches. Overkill? Maybe a little, but try and stop me (and speed addicts like me) from scoring the Vivo Xplay 3S once it goes available and prepare for war.
