micronDR, the data recovery specialist, today announces the appointment of
leading IT distributor Powermatic Distribution Pte Ltd as a business partner.
Under the agreement, Powermatic Distribution will serve as a collection centre
for data recovery requests while micronDR will provide the data recovery
services. This partnership will significantly reduce the cost of data recovery
to customers of the Prestigio line of portable storage devices distributed by
Powermatic Distribution.

“Customers who purchase portable storage devices typically use them for
migration of their database or as a backup. To further protect them from any
unforeseen problem arising during the migration or backup process, we are
offering them a free three month data recovery service for all Prestigio
portable storage sold,” said Derric Lim, Director of Operations of Powermatic
Distribution. “They can enjoy extra protection by opting for a heavily
discounted one to three-year extended protection plan.” This relationship allows
Powermatic to extend data recovery services to both their customers as well as
walk-in customers at their service centres.

“We are bringing together two leaders under this appointment – a leading IT
distributor and a top data recovery specialist. micronDR will use our Class 10
certified clean room facilities to manage all the data recovery services for
Prestigio products covering portable storage and notebooks,” said Patrick Koh,
Chief Executive Officer of micronDR.
